Terrance Roseborough is a filmmaker from Camden, SC. He studied film at The Art Institute for a while then transferred to The University of South Carolina where he would become a member of The Conqueror Movement, a communications platform for black millennials. Under the Conqueror Movement umbrella, Terrance has co-directed and produced several works including: “Find Your Light”, a Conqueror Movement documentary that documents the self care journey and falling into what feels right to you spiritually, even if it’s not the path others want you to take. He’s also worked on “What is Masculinity?” – a docuseries that takes a hard look at personal relationships, stereotypes and misconceptions of young Black men.
He currently serves as Director of Operations for Freedom Festival International for three years and has credits as a sound operator for the independent feature Shenanigans.
Cheryl Lynn Gajadhar was not only a disabled military veteran who continued her service through the Veterans Administration Hospitals as a vendor for blinded veterans like her, she was also a dedicated supporter of the Arts. So much, in fact, that she was the first inductee in the Hall of Honors at the Freedom Festival International Film Festival for the Veteran of Freedom Award. Her contributions to Carolina Film Network are the reasons why this organization exists as an accredited 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. On the early morning of December 19, 2020, Cheryl gave her last breath serving her community and supporting this organization due to COVID-19. In her honor, as she would want her legacy to continue, we at CFN dedicate this film grant to her, where active CFNS members in good standing can have a chance to let her spirit live on through their work. Starting off in 2021, the initial fund of $2,000 was directly being contributed from Cheryl herself and opened for applications March 1st and closed April 30th. The details and restrictions of this grant are announced on the opening date of applications.
